Cathy Reinking, C.S.A., graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts and is currently the casting associate on FRASIER and ACCORDING TO JIM. Past television credits include MOVIE STARS, the 2000 TV GUIDE AWARDS, DAG, STARK RAVING MAD, BABY BOB, WINGS, THE NAKED TRUTH, ENCORE! ENCORE!, ALMOST PERFECT, NOTHING SACRED, NEWSRADIO, EARLY EDITION and numerous pilots for all the major networks. Her feature film credits include SIN (starring Gary Oldman and Ving Rhames), BAD CITY BLUES, JACKIE'S BACK (Robert Townsend, director), SCREENLAND DRIVE, and A NIGHT AT THE ROXBURY.
Cathy's theatre credits include DO I HEAR A WALTZ?, LIGHT UP THE SKY (both at Pasadena Playhouse), and the A.S.K. NEW PLAY WEEKEND 2001. She has produced, directed and stage-managed numerous stage productions — including world tours — in California, Oregon, and Kansas. She was a full-time member and staffer of the South Coast Repertory for many years. Recently, she directed the LA premiere of Theresa Rebeck's SUNDAY ON THE ROCKS at the Company of Angels, David Mamet's THE WOODS at the Met theatre, and Alice Gersenberg's OVERTONES, which was part of an evening of theatre entitled "Spit Out the Madness."
Cathy, a member of the Casting Society of America, is an award-winning writer and the author of "The Stage Manager's Manual." She trains stage managers and actors, and travels throughout the U.S. and Canada conducting workshops.
Cathy's awards include the Women in Film Foundation Scholarship for Continuing Education, the Sherrill C. Corwin/Metropolitan Theatres Corporation Writing Award for Best Screenplay, the Nissan Focus Award Finalist for Best Screenplay, and the Florence Theil Herrscher Award (UCLA) for Stage Management.
