This ambitious production is held at a venue that showcases San Antonio's rich history and heritage. Industry professionals, special guests, and VIP's from coast to coast attend this prominent event. Previous luminaries and dignitaries include producers, directors, talent agents, modeling agents, advertisers, casting directors, photographers, and fashion designers from San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago.

LA101 is a profound and comprehensive opportunity for talent new to the West Coast to experience life as an industry player and citizen of Los Angeles. Held over the course of a month, LA101 is designed to give actors a realistic view of the entertainment industry, from the inside looking out. With over thirty workshops, seminars, symposiums, class audits, networking functions, performances, day trips, tours and rehearsals, actors explore the LA market in a manner that enables them to secure personal and professional grounding as they begin the pursuit of their careers in Hollywood.

Numerous high profile clients will attend and scout the Histrionic Artists' Conference and Showcase, a weekend-long event, while talent participants showcase their acting skills and special abilities via prepared commercial and theatrical performances. Actors will have opportunities to network with Calliope's clients, and will attend scheduled workshops, panel discussions, question/answer forums, and callback sessions conducted by agents, casters, and clients. Participants will enjoy two full days in the presence of clients, unlike traditional audition settings in which actors have only a few minutes to showcase themselves.
